Eid-ul-Fitr

At the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims around the world celebrate Eid ul Fitar, which is a very important occasion. Muslims celebrate Eid on the first day of the Islamic month of Shawwal. The dates of Eid al-Fitr depend on when local religious authorities in each nation observe the new moon. Muslims perform the Eid Namaz in the morning, and then they celebrate the holiday with their loved ones in the afternoon. On this day, special desserts and meals are prepared. On the day of Eid, Muslims also dress in new clothing. Girls mark their hands with henna to commemorate the occasion. Gifts are given to the poor and family members.
